Emergency Care Council The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council is an independent statutory
agency charged with responsibility for standards, education and training in
the field of pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland
NATS - National
Ambulance Training School Soon to be renamed the HSE Ambulance College, was established in 1986 to
deliver training to Ambulance personnel.
OBI - O'Brien Institute Dublin Fire Brigade Training
Centre The O'Brien Institute, Dublin Fire Brigades training centre is the
largest fire training facility in Ireland.
Since Dublin Fire Brigade also operates an emergency
ambulance service (nearly half the trained EMT-Bs in Ireland) medical
training plays a major part in the centre.

Health & Safety Authority
The Health and Safety Authority is the national body in Ireland with
responsibility for securing health and safety at work. It is a
state-sponsored body, operating under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work
Act, 2005 and it reports to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and
Employment.
